CTTR is very popular for medical mobility products like power wheelchairs. The compact worm gear design provides more options for large gear reduction ratio. With potentially higher torque output, wheelchair with CTTR is highly maneuverable.

What's new in G2: Higher efficiency

One big complain about this type of gearbox is the resistance and self-locking characteristic generates from worm gear. When the situation requires the caretaker to push the wheelchair manually, it can be a tiring job, especially when there’s a person sitting on top of it.

With a gear overhaul, CT Engineering is launching its 2nd generation CTTR: CTTR-G2, with 37% lower self-locking force. Pushing a wheelchair has never been easier. These new low resistance gears make CTTR-G2 about 6%-10% more efficient. The increase in efficiency means longer drive range and higher product competitiveness.

Even Lower Noise Level

Low noise level is what CT Engineering has excelled at over the years, especially within 1KHz - 4KHz sensitive hearing range. CTTR-G2 performs very well in this category.
